The saga of the scarf

You know those really amazing people who can whip up a scarf in an evening?  Unfortunately, I don't fit into that category juuuuust yet, but I'm on my way! At the beginning of Christmas break, I thought I would give myself a small goal. Something creative and rewarding, but not involving an endless amount work. Well. Let's just say if you do happen to want an endless amount of work, make yourself a circle scarf! There's a lot more than meets the eye to this cuddly guy. It all started at Michael's on a hunt for wool. It must have been two hours before I had made my choice. Nooo this ones too scratchy, nooo this one won't go with my wardrobe... When at last I had made it through the till, out of the parking lot, and back home, I eagerly starting the search for knitting needles. And to my dismay, I could find only one. Back in the car, back to Michael's, back to the endless aisle of knitting goodies, and at last, back home and fully equipped to begin!

After four days of knitting, the scarf was finally complete! Or so I thought...  My stubborn scarf decided that four days of knitting just wasn't enough. The edges completely turned inwards, making a long tube somewhat resembling a sewage pipe. Mmmm yes. sewage pipes! The only way to fix it was to sew another piece equal to the one I had just knitted. I knitted and knitted until I was actually dreaming about knitting. Is that a bad sign? ;)

I persevered and finished the second piece after two weeks! The two pieces were happily united, and walaah! At last, the epic saga of the scarf had reached it's sweet, sweet, end. :)

Much love, Vivi
